Father Mel Gimmaka
graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 1967. After
graduation, he worked for "Youth For Christ" in the Seattle Area.
In 1977 he became a pastor in the Evangelical Orthodox Church and in
1987 was ordained into the canonical Orthodox Church by Metropolitan
PHILIP of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America.
He was elevated to Archpriest in 1999 and was the first of St. Innocent
Orthodox Church in Everson Washington, where he continues to
serve. He
has been married to his wife Carol since 1966; has two children and
eight grandchildren.
Father Gregory Newman
is an alumnus of Washington State University. He also received a
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Western Washington University in
1976. He finished his Master's Degree in Education also from WWU in
1990. In 2008 he was ordained into the canonical Orthodox Church
by Bishop JOSEPH of the Antiochian Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles and
the West. He has been married to his wife Diane, since 1969;
has two daughters and eight grandchildren. Father Gregory makes
his livelihood as a High School Social Studies teacher.
